Pays of Lunel
The Communauté de Lunel presided by Claude Arnaud and his 12 vices president, gathers 48500 inhabitants. The 15 municipalities that compose it are charming Languedocian villages where it’s good to live, and small towns rich in natural or historical heritage: Boisseron - Galargues - Campagne - Garrigues - Lunel - Lunel-Viel - Marsillargues - Saint-Christol - Saint-Just - Saint-Nazaire de Pézan - Saint-Sériès - Saturargues - Saussines - Vérargues - Villetelle.
The « Pays de Lunel » is situated in a rural environment rich in landscapes: garrigues and hillsides in the North, marshes and pond “Etang de l’or” in the South, the Vidourle River in the East.
He’s also full of cultural riches (with the camarguaise traditions) and patrimonial (with the various winery, the archeologic site “Ambrussum”, the hearts of medieval villages, the historic center of Lunel,etc.)
This territory between Nimes and Montpellier in the shelter of the tourist floods summer is a place favorable to quality tourism at few minutes of the frequented beaches of the Mediterranean. Serviced by a motorway exit (A9), the Pays de Lunel is at 20 minutes to the big agglomerations.
